About LADARKThe Latin American Development Archive is housed at the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA). Collaborating departments include the UTSA Library and the UTSA Department of Sociology. Initial development of the site was carried out by Dr. Christopher Chase-Dunn of the Institute for Research on World-Systems (IROWS) of the University of California at Riverside with support from Johns Hopkins University's Program in Cross-National Sociology and International Development (PCSID) and the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation. LADARK's eprints archive was established by the staff of the Digital Knowledge Center at Johns Hopkins University with support from the Hodson Trust. The dome painting features symbols from Aztec, Mayan and Olmec sources juxtaposed with images representing science and the human brain. The mural is located in the rotunda patio of the University of Texas - San Antonio's Biosciences Building.
